Job summary

SAL Consulting invites an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Darwin-based senior practitioner team in the Northern Territory. This role blends clinical practice with leadership, mentoring and discipline growth across diverse settings including community, clinic, school and telehealth.

You’ll contribute to development of our national practice, support teams, and drive meaningful outcomes for clients with complex needs while enjoying flexible scheduling and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• Unconditional General Registration with AHPRA.
• Unrestricted Australian working rights.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or ability to obtain before commencement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy services across community, clinic, school and telehealth settings.
• Provide assessment, intervention and consultation to people with diverse and often complex needs.
• Mentor and coach developing practitioners and contribute to discipline growth and service development.

SAL Consulting is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our senior practitioner team in the Northern Territory, based in Darwin.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll combine direct clinical work with assessment, intervention, consultation, multidisciplinary collaboration, mentoring and discipline development activities.

Your Work Will Include

Mandatory Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Unconditional General Registration with AHPRA
• Unrestricted Australian working rights
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement

Essential Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working within at least one relevant funding environment (e.g. NDIS, education, child protection, health, justice or related sectors)‚ÄØ
• Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting developing practitioners

Highly Regarded

• Formal supervision experience
• Experience in working with people with intellectual disability, trauma histories and complex support needs
• Experience in areas such as functional capacity assessments, sensory profiling, cognitive assessments, home and living assessments, equipment prescription and home modifications
• Experience working collaboratively with families, support networks and multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes in everyday environments
• Experience in practice development activities
