Job summary

SAL Consulting is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team in NSW, based in Sydney. Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and registered with AHPRA.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams in disability/mental health.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and NMT is a plus.
• Candidate demonstrates strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy services across community, clinic, school and telehealth settings.
• Provide assessment, intervention and consultation to clients with complex needs.
• Collaborate with families, carers and support networks to achieve meaningful outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

You'll combine direct clinical work with assessment, intervention, consultation and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Your work will include:

• Delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy services across community, clinic, school and telehealth settings
• Providing assessment, intervention and consultation services to people with diverse and often complex needs
• Supporting individuals, families, carers and support teams to achieve meaningful outcomes

Desired Skills and Experience

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Unconditional General Registration with AHPRA
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement
• Experience working within at least one relevant funding environment (e.g. NDIS, education, child protection, health, justice or related sectors)

Highly Regarded

• Experience in working with people with intellectual disability, trauma histories and complex support needs
• Experience in areas such as functional capacity assessments, sensory profiling, cognitive assessments, home and living assessments, equipment prescription and home modifications
• Experience working collaboratively with families, support networks and multidisciplinary teams t o achieve outcomes in everyday environments
