Job summary

SAL Consulting is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Darwin, Northern Territory. The role involves delivering OT services across community, clinic, school and telehealth settings, with a focus on complex needs and outcomes for children, families and support networks.

You’ll work within a trauma-informed, NMT-enabled practice, collaborating with other professionals and funding bodies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• Unconditional AHPRA registration is required.
• Current driver's license and Working with Children Check.
• Experience in relevant funding environments (NDIS, education, health).

Responsibilities

• Deliver OT services across community, clinic, school, and telehealth.

SAL Consulting is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Northern Territory, based in Darwin.

This is more than a clinical role. Alongside a diverse and rewarding caseload, you'll contribute tomultidisciplinary practice and work with individuals, families and service systems to create meaningful and lasting change.

What You’ll Be Doing

You'll combine direct clinical work with assessment, intervention, consultation and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Your work will include:

• Delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy services across community, clinic, school and telehealth settings
• Providing assessment, intervention and consultation services to people with diverse and often complex needs
• Supporting individuals, families, carers and support teams to achieve meaningful outcomes
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic and person-centred outcomes

Desired Skills and Experience

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Unconditional General Registration with AHPRA
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement
• Experience working within at least one relevant funding environment (e.g. NDIS, education, child protection, health, justice or related sectors)

Highly Regarded

• Experience in working with people with intellectual disability, trauma histories and complex support needs
• Experience in areas such as functional capacity assessments, sensory profiling, cognitive assessments, home and living assessments, equipment prescription and home modifications
• Experience working collaboratively with families, support networks and multidisciplinary teams t o achieve outcomes in everyday environments
