Job summary

Extreme Networks, Inc. invites a Senior Systems Engineer to support enterprise networking solutions across the ANZ region. You will design, present, and validate architectures aligning with customer requirements, spanning wired, wireless, and cloud‑managed networks.

The role demands hands‑on expertise, strong communication, and collaboration with sales, partners, and internal teams. Regional travel and a flexible working model are expected.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience in pre‑sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical consulting in networking.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies (MLAG, LACP, IGMP, PIM; OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, VRRP, SPBM, VXLAN).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with network automation tools is an advantage (e.g., Ansible, Python).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Network Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams and partners to support regional revenue goals.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations articulating design principles.
• Lead discovery sessions, solution design, and technical validation for networking domains.
• Participate in assessments, demos, PoCs, and architectural workshops.
• Troubleshoot complex customer environments and provide input during escalations.
• Leverage scripting to support automation or testing tasks.
• Communicate feedback between customers and product/engineering teams.
• Travel regionally as needed to support ANZ customers.
