Job summary

Extreme Networks, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support enterprise networking across the ANZ region, designing, presenting, and validating architectures that meet customer requirements.

The role combines hands-on work with wired, wireless, and cloud-managed networks and requires strong communication with customers and sales teams. You will lead technical demonstrations, design workshops, and assessments, while collaborating with partners to drive regional revenue goals and ensure

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in pre-sales engineering or solution architecture in networking.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VXLAN) and cloud networking.
• Experience presenting and validating architectures to customers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams, partners, and stakeholders to support regional revenue goals.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations that articulate benefits and design principles.
• Lead discovery sessions, solution design, and technical validation for: Wireless LAN, Campus/edge switching, SD-WAN, Data center fabrics, Cloud-managed networking platforms and related SaaS applications.
• Participate in technical assessments, demos, proof-of-concept deployments, and architectural workshops.
• Troubleshoot complex customer environments and provide technical input during escalations.
• Utilize protocol knowledge and traffic analysis to resolve issues and optimize network designs.
• Leverage basic scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) to support automation or testing tasks.
• Act as a liaison between customers and product/engineering teams to communicate feedback and ensure solution alignment.
