Job summary

Uniting is seeking a Senior Network and Unified Communications Administrator in Melbourne CBD to oversee, optimise and strategically manage the network and UC infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, wireless, firewalls, and VoIP/UC platforms.

You will ensure secure, reliable ICT services, provide technical leadership, support staff with complex issues, and coordinate with third-party providers for advanced network support, driving continuous improvement and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Tertiary IT/CS degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in network oversight and unified communications administration.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, wireless, routing, switching, firewalls, and VoIP/UC.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network and UC issues.
• Experience collaborating with third-party providers for advanced technical support.
• Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Your new role

As the Senior Network and Unified Communications Administrator, you will be responsible for the senior-level oversight, optimisation, and strategic management of Uniting’s network and unified communications infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN, wireless networks, firewalls, routers, switches, telephony, VoIP, collaboration, and conferencing platforms.

In this role, you will ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing ICT and communications services that support staff productivity, business operations, and service delivery. You will also provide technical leadership, assist ICT staff with complex issues, liaise with third-party providers for advanced network support, and contribute to continuous improvement and strategic planning of infrastructure and services.

Your skills and experience
