Job summary

Our client, a major ASX-listed insurance and banking group, is hiring for a newly created, permanent Senior Network & Security Service Specialist role based in Sydney. This is a genuine mix of hands-on technical work and service ownership, not a single-lane role: roughly half hands-on network and security engineering, a quarter automation, and a quarter service delivery and vendor oversight.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience with major network/systems equipment and security appliances.
• 5–10 years in an enterprise technical service delivery role.
• Experience across on-premises and multi-cloud environments with cloud readiness.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support firewall, routing, and switching infrastructure (Palo Alto, F5, Cisco).
• Troubleshoot complex network and security incidents as escalation point.
• Support cloud migration toward AWS and/or Azure.
• Contribute to MSP governance, platform architecture and vendor oversight.
