Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced Network Security Manager to lead the network and security operations inside a large enterprise. You’ll manage a small team of Network & Security Engineers and own the strategy, architecture, and roadmap for enterprise network and security services.

Based in Sydney with hybrid work (3 days in office, 2 from home), the role focuses on ensuring availability, security, and performance while partnering with vendors and technology teams across infrastructure,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure and/or security operations.
• Proven experience leading and developing technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking and network security.
• Experience with Cisco switching/routing, Meraki and ISE.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and cloud networking.

An opportunity is available for an experienced Network Security Manager to lead the network and security operations capability within a large, complex enterprise environment.

Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations, this role combines people leadership, technical direction, service ownership and operational management.

You’ll lead a small team of Network & Security Engineers while taking ownership of the strategy, architecture, roadmap and ongoing improvement of enterprise network and security services.

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years' experience across enterprise networking, infrastructure and/or security operations
• Proven experience leading and developing technical teams
• Strong technical knowledge across enterprise networking and network security
• Experience with Cisco switching/routing, Meraki and ISE
• Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Exposure to Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity
• Experience across SD-WAN, VPN, Zero Trust, SASE/SSE and ZTNA
• Strong understanding of network security, vulnerability management and cyber resilience
• Experience working alongside Information Security/SOC teams across security monitoring and incident response
• Strong incident, problem and change management experience within an enterprise environment
