Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the Secure Network Services team within the Technology division. You will work closely with project engagement, network architecture, engineering, build and operations teams to support critical services and translate user requirements into infrastructure solutions.

This role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, Cisco SD-WAN, routing/switching, firewalls, load balancing, PKI and VPNs, plus cloud networking in Azure/AWS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of in-depth technical network/security networking experience.
• Experience in large organizations with complex networks.
• Strong technical knowledge of network technologies and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on with Cisco SD-WAN and routing/switching, firewalls, and VPN.
• Experience in project and operational roles.
• Proficient in automation and orchestration, DevNet Python.
• Cloud networking knowledge (Azure/AWS) and ITIL/change management.
