Job summary

Infosys Limited in Melbourne/Sydney is seeking a Network Technical Specialist for Infra to own the full lifecycle of incidents, changes, and service requests in a 24/7 NOC. You will coordinate with vendors and customers to ensure SLA compliance and service continuity.

The role requires deep networking expertise (Routing, Switching, SD-WAN, security) and ITIL experience, plus a track record of mentoring engineers and delivering resilient, scalable managed networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in network and infrastructure engineering, with a demonstrated track record in enterprise-level environments.
• At least 8 years of experience in customer-facing technical support roles, preferably within a NOC or managed services.
• Solid hands-on expertise across routing, switching, SD-WAN, network security, and infrastructure management.
• Proven experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Meraki, Microsoft, F5, Windows, Linux, VMware, NetApp, and related tools.
• Demonstrated ITSM/ITIL experience and ability to manage incidents, problems, changes, and requests.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring, ticketing systems, and SLA management.
• Ability to participate in 24/7 rotating shifts and on-call arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of incidents, service requests, problems, and changes—from initiation through to resolution and closure.
• Deliver proactive and reactive network support, maintaining SLA compliance and service continuity.
• Represent the team in CAB meetings, contributing to change evaluation, risk assessment and approvals.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and others) to manage escalations and resolutions.
• Engage with customers across voice and digital channels, delivering clear technical updates.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
• Assess customer IT environments to identify gaps and propose forward-looking improvements.
• Develop strategies to enhance performance, resilience, and maintainability of managed networks.
