Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands‑on Network Engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience with Cisco LAN/WAN, Wireless, Palo Alto firewalls, and network security controls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance, availability and capacity; address issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, outages and performance degradation.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Support and maintain enterprise Cisco LAN/WAN and wireless environments.
• Work with Palo Alto firewalls and related security controls.
• Perform network upgrades, patching and changes per change-management processes.
• Contribute to WAN/LAN design and deployment aligned with best practices.
• Implement and maintain network security controls including segmentation and access rules.
• Support cloud and hybrid networks (Azure) and coordinate with vendors.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams and asset records.

Adelaide OR Melbourne Location / Hybrid workingExcellent hourly rate offeredInitial contract till 18th December This is a hands-on role combining network operations, troubleshooting, security and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of enterprise LAN, WAN and hybrid network environments.

Due to the nature of the environment, applicants must already hold a current NV1 Australian Government security clearance.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Monitoring network performance, availability and capacity and proactively addressing potential issues
• Troubleshooting and resolving network incidents, outages, connectivity issues and performance degradation
• Configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points
• Supporting and maintaining enterprise Cisco LAN/WAN and wireless environments
• Working with Palo Alto firewalls and associated network security controls
• Performing network upgrades, patching and changes in accordance with established change-management processes
• Contributing to the design and implementation of WAN and LAN solutions aligned with industry best practice
• Implementing and maintaining network security controls, including segmentation, access controls, firewall rules and policies
• Supporting cloud and hybrid networking environments, including Azure
• Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and technology vendors to resolve technical issues
• Maintaining accurate network documentation, diagrams and asset records.

What We’re Looking For:

You’ll ideally bring 4+ years of hands‑on Network Engineering experience within enterprise environments, together with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capability.

We’re particularly interested in experience across:

• Cisco LAN/WAN
• Cisco Wireless
• Palo Alto Firewalls
• F5 Cisco ISE
• Riverbed
• Networking protocols and core network services
• Network security and segmentation
• Enterprise incident, problem and change management.

Experience with Software Defined Networking, particularly Cisco ACI and Cisco DNA Centre, would be highly regarded.

You must currently hold an NV1 Australian Government security clearance. Unfortunately, candidates without an active NV1 clearance cannot be considered for this particular opportunity.
