Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer in Melbourne to troubleshoot BAU incidents across switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, VPNs and IPsec. You will analyse complex network issues, plan and implement upgrades, manage BGP configurations and maintain thorough documentation.

You will collaborate with SMB clients, communicate risks and recommendations clearly, and take ownership of network improvements while ensuring security and reliability across client environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as Network Engineer across switching, routing, firewalls and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve BAU network incidents across multiple technologies.
• Analyse complex issues and restore services within SLAs to minimise client impact.
• Plan, implement and support network changes and upgrades, including firewall policies.
• Manage BGP routing configurations and VPNs, including IPsec site-to-site.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and change records.
• Collaborate with SMB clients to deliver secure, scalable network solutions.
