Job summary

Talenza is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a Sydney-based, hybrid team. This hands-on role focuses on operating and improving a large-scale Cisco network environment, spanning WAN, internet routing, switching, and critical network services.

The ideal candidate brings experience from an ISP background, strong routing expertise (BGP/OSPF), and familiarity with Nexus 9000 platforms. You will be a senior escalation point and participate in on-call support.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale Cisco networks and ISP-style environments.
• Proficient in BGP and OSPF routing.
• Experience with Nexus 9000 platforms and Cisco Nexus switching.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting and support activities across critical network infrastructure.
• Investigate and resolve complex routing, switching and connectivity issues.
• Participate in major incident management and problem management activities.
• Implement network changes and support strategic technology initiatives.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point within the networking team.
• Participate in an on-call support roster.
