Job summary

Compas is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement and support secure enterprise network infrastructure across an Australian Government environment. You will work with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, AWS and Azure to deliver reliable, high-performing services on-site in ACT or Tasmania.

Initial 6-month contract with up to three 12-month extensions; NV1 clearance is required. Responsibilities include configuring routers/switches/firewalls, optimizing performance, and producing

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise networking experience with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and VPNs.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking across AWS and Azure environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, data centre and wireless networks.
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs and routing protocols.
• Optimize network performance and security; automate management where possible.
• Develop network requirements for RFQs and provide technical/value-for-money evaluations.
