Job summary

A leading Australian recruitment firm is seeking a Network Infrastructure Architect to drive transformation in a multi-cloud environment. You will lead the design of secure and scalable network architectures, ensuring compliance with standards while working closely with various stakeholders. Candidates should have a strong background in enterprise networking, VPNs, and a security-first mindset, preferably with NV1 clearance. This role offers the opportunity to shape network capabilities while working in sensitive settings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in datacentre, LAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking.

Network Infrastructure Architect – Hybrid Cloud, SD-WAN & Secure Enterprise Networks

Step into a large-scale transformation program modernising communications, security and operations across a hybrid multi-cloud environment. You’ll lead end-to-end network architecture and provide technical governance to ensure designs are secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned to endorsed standards—working closely with stakeholders, vendors and delivery teams.

📍 Location: Canberra, ACT | Sydney, NSW | Melbourne, VIC | Brisbane, QLD

• Contract Duration: To 30 June 2026 with possible extensions
• Security Clearance Requirement: Must hold current NV1 (NV2 ability highly regarded)

Essential Tasks

• Develop/review end-to-end network capability designs and architectural artefacts.
• Provide technical governance and advice to ensure designs are fully documented and aligned.
• Support complex programs with network engineering, integration, deployment and transition activities.
• Contribute to security/monitoring uplift and resilient network patterns (HA/DR-ready designs).

Key Criteria

• Strong enterprise networking background (datacentre, LAN, SD-WAN, cloud networking, wireless).
• Hands‑on expertise across VPNs/SSL, routing, load balancing/GSLB, plus DNS/DHCP.
• Security‑first mindset: segmentation, firewalls, monitoring and zero trust principles.
• Desirable: DevSecOps, Software Defined Networking, WAN encryption, IaC and automation.
