Job summary

Medibank Private Limited is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Operations team on a 9-month daily rate contract, paying 750 AUD per day (inc super). This role covers a large-scale enterprise network across retail stores, offices and data centres in Australia.

You will work with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco and Zscaler, partnering with infrastructure, security and cloud teams to maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing networks while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise firewall environments.
• Experience with large, distributed networks across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of network security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and patch enterprise firewall environments.
• Support switching, routing, wireless AP, and VPN infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and drive improvements.
• Ensure network reliability, performance, and security across distributed sites.
• Support network compliance and security initiatives.
• Manage and support owned network tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with infra, cloud, security, and project teams.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
