Job summary

Reapit seeks a Senior Engineer to migrate legacy PHP systems to a scalable .NET architecture, collaborating across teams to deliver production code with high quality. You will design solutions, implement code, test rigorously, and document engineering work while upholding engineering excellence.

You’ll work in a flexible setup, with opportunities to contribute to API design, cloud-based deployments, and AI tooling integration, across Sydney/Brisbane offices or remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in back-end software development with .NET/C# - Essential.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services, ASP.NET Core - Essential.
• Front-end experience with React is favourable but not required.
• Experience with distributed teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience migrating legacy systems to modern stacks (e.g., PHP to .NET).
• Knowledge of agentic AI tooling in development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, QA, and other teams to refine technical requirements.
• Design technical solutions meeting architectural standards for security and scalability.
• Write and review production code, maintain coding standards.
• Perform testing and validation to ensure deliverable quality.
• Document engineering projects for future reference and compliance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver projects on time.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teammates.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and maintainability.
