The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MuleSoft Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of API-led connectivity solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in architecting enterprise-grade integration solutions, API design, and MuleSoft best practices. This role involves leading technical decision-making, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of API-led connectivity solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance integration patterns for enterprise systems.
- Define and enforce MuleSoft best practices, including API design, data transformation, and error handling.
- Mentor and guide junior developers and consultants in MuleSoft development and integration practices.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies for API security, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Participate in testing, deployment, and maintenance activities following DevOps best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of experience in middleware integration, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Extensive expertise in API-led connectivity architecture, including System APIs, Process APIs, and Experience APIs.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and other integration protocols.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade integration solutions using MuleSoft.
- Familiarity with MuleSoft tools, including API Designer, DataWeave, Anypoint Studio, and Runtime Fabric.
- Deep understanding of API security protocols (OAuth, JWT, SAML) and governance frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and SaaS application integration.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: MuleSoft Certified Architect (MCA), MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD), MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project, Trello).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git), and automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and architectures.
- Experience with API management platforms and microservices architecture.
