Job summary

ING Australia is seeking an experienced Product Area Lead – Safe Business to guide risk and strategy for the mortgage portfolio. You will partner with senior leaders to embed risk practices while enabling growth and excellent customer outcomes.

You will drive risk remediation, governance and control enhancements in a complex regulatory environment, shaping safe, sustainable lending and strategic decision-making across the business.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in banking risk, compliance or business management.
• Experience in mortgage, home lending or consumer lending risk is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate risk into business actions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Tribe Lead to identify, assess, and manage risks across the mortgage business.
• Lead complex risk, issue management and remediation initiatives ensuring regulatory obligations are met.
• Drive operation of risk frameworks, controls, governance and business continuity.
• Translate risk insights into commercial, actionable recommendations.
• Champion a strong risk culture by influencing stakeholders and embedding best practices.
