Job summary

Anduril Industries Australia is seeking a Senior Modelling and Simulation Engineer to drive the design, development, and support of next-generation autonomous vehicle simulations. You will own physics-based models, simulations, and integration with vendor components within a multi-disciplinary software team.

The role requires deep experience in platform modeling, C/C++/Python, and MATLAB/Simulink, with a path to leadership and mentoring of engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience with platform physics-based modelling and simulation.
• Experience writing C, C++ or Python.
• Skills in algorithms, data structures, concurrency and optimization.
• Ability to own a software service including requirements, roadmap and evolution.
• Capacity to mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams.
• Ability to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration and support of next-generation modeling and simulation architecture.
• Serve as SME for engineering-level simulation of Anduril platforms across subsystems and devices.
• Simulate Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithms and Vehicle Management System components.
• Collaborate with vendors/customers to integrate external models into the simulation architecture.
• Create models and fixtures for both software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Contribute to software systems and development processes for full lifecycle testing and evolution.
• Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
• Mentor software engineers from diverse backgrounds within a multi-disciplinary team.
