Job summary

Anduril Industries Australia is seeking a Senior Modelling and Simulation Engineer to drive platform simulation for autonomous vehicles. You will design and implement scalable modelling architecture, work across software stacks, and enable rapid, multi-mission capability delivery.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with vendors for model integration, and ensure lifecycle testing across development pipelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Extensive experience with platform physics based modelling and simulation.
Experience writing C, C++ or Python.
Systems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency and optimization.
Capacity to work holistically on software enabled capabilities up and down the software stack.
Capability to own a software service, including stakeholder engagement and roadmap management.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, integration and support of modeling and simulation architecture.
Act as SME for engineering level simulation of Anduril platforms and related models.
Simulate solutions for Guidance, Navigation and Control and Vehicle Management System components.
Collaborate with vendors/customers to integrate external models.
Create models and test fixtures for software- and hardware-in-the-loop.
Contribute to design and development of other software systems and sub-systems.
Support the full lifecycle testing and development processes for robotic software.
Mentor Software Engineers from differing backgrounds.
