Job summary

Foxleigh Mining is seeking experienced Senior Supervisors to lead our mining team at Foxleigh Mine in Queensland. You will provide leadership, direction and oversight to ensure safe, compliant and productive delivery of the mine plan.

You will coach Supervisors, Operators and Contractors, ensure compliance with legislation and procedures, and drive continuous improvement across safety, efficiency and workforce capability. A 7/7 roster and competitive remuneration are on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in open-cut mining environments.
• Strong knowledge of mining legislation, risk management and critical controls.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive safety, behavior and performance.

Foxleigh Mine is an established open‑cut coal operation located in Queensland's Bowen Basin, approximately 15 kilometres south of Middlemount and 275 kilometres northwest of Rockhampton. Since commencing operations in 1999, Foxleigh has built a strong reputation for producing premium low volatile PCI metallurgical coal, a key ingredient in steel manufacturing supplied to customers around the world.

The Opportunity:

To support our evolving workforce, Foxleigh Mine are seeking experienced, safety and people focused Senior Supervisors to join our Mining team. Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight of our mining operations to ensure the safe, compliant and productive delivery of the mine plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop Supervisors, Operators and Contractors to achieve safe, productive and high‑performing outcomes.
• Ensure all activities comply with legislation, site standards, management plans, procedures and critical controls.
• Coordinate and optimise personnel, equipment and resources to safely and efficiently deliver the mine plan.
• Provide senior operational leadership across shifts, effectively managing and escalating emerging safety, operational and business‑critical issues.
• Collaborate across site functions and drive continuous improvement in safety, operational efficiency, workforce capability and overall performance.

About you:

You are an experienced mining leader who brings a strong commitment to safety, operational discipline and team performance. You lead from the front, communicate clearly and remain composed when managing changing priorities and operational challenges.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated leadership experience in an open‑cut mining environment, ideally in a senior supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of mining legislation, statutory obligations, risk management and critical controls.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and hold multidisciplinary teams accountable for safety, behaviour and performance.
• Sound operational judgement, with the confidence to make timely decisions and manage emerging site‑wide issues.
• Strong planning, communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Relevant statutory qualifications and competencies required for the role.
