Job summary

Foxleigh Mine in Queensland is seeking a Senior Supervisor to lead mining operations, coach Supervisors, Operators and Contractors, and ensure delivery of the mine plan with safety and efficiency.

Reporting to Mining Superintendent, you will coordinate crews across shifts, manage resources, and uphold critical controls and statutory obligations while driving continuous improvement and safe, reliable production.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in open-cut mining environments.
• Strong knowledge of mining legislation, risk management and controls.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams for safety and performance.
• Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

About Foxleigh Mine: Foxleigh Mine is an established open-cut coal operation located in Queensland's Bowen Basin, approximately 15 kilometres south of Middlemount and 275 kilometres northwest of Rockhampton. The Opportunity:

To support our evolving workforce, Foxleigh Mine are seeking experienced, safety and people focused Senior Supervisors to join our Mining team. Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight of our mining operations to ensure the safe, compliant and productive delivery of the mine plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop Supervisors, Operators and Contractors to achieve safe, productive and high-performing outcomes.
• Ensure all activities comply with legislation, site standards, management plans, procedures and critical controls.
• Coordinate and optimise personnel, equipment and resources to safely and efficiently deliver the mine plan.
• Provide senior operational leadership across shifts, effectively managing and escalating emerging safety, operational and business-critical issues.
• Collaborate across site functions and drive continuous improvement in safety, operational efficiency, workforce capability and overall performance.

About you:

You are an experienced mining leader who brings a strong commitment to safety, operational discipline and team performance. You lead from the front, communicate clearly and remain composed when managing changing priorities and operational challenges.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated leadership experience in an open-cut mining environment, ideally in a senior supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of mining legislation, statutory obligations, risk management and critical controls.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and hold multidisciplinary teams accountable for safety, behaviour and performance.
• Sound operational judgement, with the confidence to make timely decisions and manage emerging site-wide issues.
• Strong planning, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
• Relevant statutory qualifications and competencies required for the role.
