Job summary

Ausenco in Perth, WA, seeks a Senior Study Manager to lead scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for mining and mineral processing projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage scope, budgets and schedules, and act as the primary client liaison to ensure successful outcomes.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to business development, and drive continuous improvement across Ausenco's WA & Africa portfolio.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of industry experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Experience delivering scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies within the resources sector.
• Background in Metallurgical Engineering (preferred), Process Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience as a Study Manager, Engineering Manager, Senior Project Engineer or similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of mining and mineral processing projects across a range of commodities.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project stakeholders.
• Well-developed commercial, project management and client relationship management skills.
• Client-side project exposure is highly regarded; however hands-on consulting studies experience is essential.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for mining and mineral processing projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve study objectives, schedule commitments and commercial targets.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes.
• Manage study scope, budgets, schedules, risk and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical specialists across process, metallurgy, mechanical, infrastructure and project delivery disciplines.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to engineers and study team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
• Support business development initiatives through client engagement, proposal development and identification of future opportunities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the ongoing growth of Ausenco's WA & Africa business.
