Job summary

Macmahon is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to provide expert mining engineering capabilities to deliver practicable mine plans. You will work closely with operations, maintenance and HSEQT to optimise production and support plan compliance across open-cut mining activities.

Applicants should hold a tertiary degree in Mining Engineering with 4–5 years' practical experience, ideally in hard rock surface mining, and demonstrate strong leadership, analytics and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering with 4–5 years of practical experience.
• Exposure to hard rock surface mining projects highly regarded.
• Experience in mine planning, design, scheduling and operational support.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mine planning, design, scheduling and drill-and-blast activities.
• Provide technical engineering analysis and commercial support to optimise performance.
• Maintain production reporting systems and contribute to budgets and forecasts.
• Engage with operations and project teams to drive plan compliance.
• Identify improvement opportunities and uphold safety standards.
