Job summary

Orelogy, part of the Perenti Group, is a leading mining consultancy seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join our Perth-based team. You will deliver practical engineering solutions, designs, and studies, while mentoring junior staff and engaging with clients across a diverse portfolio of mining operations.

The role is based in Perth CBD with exposure to Australian and international travel, and a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in technical/operational mining environments across various methods.
• Minimum 3 years leading or supervising teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Deswik and mine planning tools.
• Strong technical reporting, writing, and communication; stakeholder management.
• Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical mining engineering solutions and technical advice.
• Prepare executable mine designs, plans, and schedules.
• Provide technical assurance for MROR reporting.
• Support mining studies (Scoping, PFS, DFS).
• Assist with mining cost estimation and economic evaluations.
• Identify business improvement opportunities.
• Develop client relationships across project teams.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to project execution and technical reviews.
• Champion safety culture and travel as required.
