Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Energy, Mining and/or Property underwriting experience.
• Existing or ability to develop broker and customer relationships quickly.
• Strong knowledge of policy forms, including broker manuscripts.
• Experience marketing to specialized brokers.
• Degree or equivalent education and/or insurance qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and build a profitable property book focusing on Mining and Energy.
• Develop broker and customer relationships to maximise new and renewal business.
• Prequalify accounts and select risks within the company’s appetite.
• Underwrite assigned accounts with thorough analysis and documentation.
• Underwrite complex risks and craft creative solutions.
• Collaborate with claims to ensure a positive customer experience.
