Job summary

Fortescue is seeking a Senior Mine Control and Process Improvement Specialist to turn complex operational challenges into practical solutions that improve safety, productivity and decision-making at our Perth operations.

You will provide expert technical and operational guidance across Mine Control, collaborating with site operations, technology and engineering teams to deliver measurable improvements from concept through to implementation and sustainable adoption.

Qualifications

• Significant experience across mining operations, mine control, fleet management, dispatch, or related operations.
• Strong knowledge of mine control processes and technologies such as MineStar or similar systems.
• Experience delivering process improvement and automation initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to manage projects across planning, risk, implementation and benefits tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven insights.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities with frontline to senior leadership credibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist operational and technical support to Mine Control teams, resolving complex systems and workflow challenges.
• Analyze mine control systems, data and workflows to identify trends and opportunities to improve safety and productivity.
• Lead process improvement, automation and OT initiatives from problem definition to implementation and benefits realisation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Automation, Engineering and Technical Services to design scalable solutions.
• Coordinate testing, user acceptance, implementation and change activities, embedding new systems into daily operations.
• Develop operating standards, process documentation, training materials and reporting while coaching teams.
