Job summary

GV Health is seeking a Senior Mental Health Nurse to lead professional development across mental health nursing, coordinating mandatory training and post-graduate programs. You will work with the Mental Health Director of Nursing to evaluate and improve service models based on current research and best practice.

The role requires RN registration with post-graduate mental health qualifications, strong leadership, and experience in policy implementation within the Victorian health system.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
• Post-graduate qualifications in mental health nursing.
• Experience in policy and guideline development and implementation including relevant acts and standards.
• Well-developed leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership, supervision and support for the mental health workforce.
• Coordinate planning, resource management and reporting of activities related to mental health nursing professional development programs.
• Lead and participate in projects that advance service goals and promote family and client-centred practice.
• Collaborate with the Mental Health Director of Nursing to evaluate and develop service models in line with evidence-based practice.
