Job summary

ProFound People is helping a Wollongong-based engineering firm recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong structural design experience. The role is permanent and located near Wollongong, NSW.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in mechanical engineering, a mechanical engineering degree, and familiarity with heavy industry sectors. Applicants should be skilled in CAD and able to produce engineering drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in heavy industry (O&G, Mining, Minerals Processing, Power Generation or similar).
• Experience with structural design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, equipment and systems.
• Perform mechanical and structural calculations and design verification.
• Produce and review engineering drawings and documentation.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, manufacturing and other departments.
