WSP Building Structures is seeking a seniorStructural Engineer to lead design, delivery and tender phases on multi-year projects across Australia. The role involves coordinating with local clients and a national multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality structural engineering outcomes.

The candidate will bring 5-8 years of Australian Property/Building experience, strong post-tensioned concrete design skills, and a proven ability to mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced consultancy

Qualifications

• Bachelor to Masters’ level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering).
• 5-8 years industry experience in the Property and Building space within consulting.
• Commercial experience in Australia on local medium/large engineering projects is essential.
• Deliver multiple, concurrent projects across sectors: commercial, retail, defence, health, education.
• Solid proficiency in all-round structural engineering design including post-tensioned concrete.
• Track record of cross-discipline project delivery.
• Ability to lead, train and mentor junior engineers.
• Naturally Curious, Passionate, Adaptable & ready to do the kind of work the world needs

Responsibilities

• Project lead work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects.
• Ensure timely and quality delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets.
• Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients.
• Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.
• Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team.
• Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
