Job summary

Sedgman is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth team on a 12-month contract. You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and deliver mechanical design across minerals processing projects.

The role covers piping, tanks, vessels, FEAs, and risk assessments, with travel to remote sites as required. Strong collaboration with clients and multi-discipline teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years in mechanical engineering with project delivery.
• Experience with tanks, vessels, piping design and FEA.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel to remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering scopes for minerals projects.
• Design and analyze piping systems, tanks, vessels, and rotating equipment.
• Select equipment per standards and client requirements.
• Mentor and lead engineering teams.
• Oversee project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring safety and quality.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and clients.
