Job summary

Sedgman Prudentia in Australia is seeking a Senior Design Manager with hands-on experience on projects from concept to detailed design. You will lead multi‑discipline teams across mining, minerals processing, energy and chemicals, reporting to the Delivery Manager and guiding design from concept through to construction.

Key requirements include 15+ years of industry experience, leadership of project teams, and proficiency with design management processes and 3D/2D outputs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing, energy, and chemicals.
• Experience leading multidiscipline project teams.
• Experience with conceptual through detailed design projects.
• Understanding of project budget and schedule and delivering engineering outputs.
• Proficiency with engineering and drafting management processes.
• Strong knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D design deliverables.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Understanding of Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage Engineers/ Designers to issue documents and drawings to project team and stakeholders.
• Lead meetings and represent the Company in communications on project aspects.
• Develop or review project scope, budget, schedule, dependencies and constraints.
• Monitor and evaluate work of engineers and drafters to meet requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of design standards, systems and processes.
