Airswift is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Perth, WA, to lead mechanical scopes on mineral processing projects. You will provide technical leadership, perform calculations, and support design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.

The role emphasizes independent delivery, vendor evaluation, and integration with piping, structural and electrical interfaces, while ensuring compliance with Australian and international standards. Perth-based, permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

• Broad experience in mechanical design delivery across projects and studies.
• Strong ability to size and specify mechanical equipment.
• Proven capability in conducting HAZID/HAZOP and risk assessments.
• Experience evaluating vendors and tender documentation.
• Involvement in procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead and independently deliver mechanical engineering scopes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review Process Design Criteria, PFDs, mass and water balances to translate process needs into equipment specs.
• Conduct vendor technical evaluations and review vendor documentation.
• Provide mechanical input across piping, structural, civil, electrical, instrumentation interfaces.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian, AS/NZS and international standards.
