Job summary

Anduril Australia is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in New South Wales to drive design, development and support of complex mechanical systems for maritime and other domains. You will craft detailed designs, prototypes and analyses for XL-AUVs, ensuring compliance with standards and working within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to system integration and lifecycle testing, and may travel up to 20% to collaborate with end-users and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
• Professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer with relevant domains and technologies.
• Ability to address complex mechanical systems across design, implementation, operation and sustainment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed plans and specifications for new designs of XL-AUVs or derivatives.
• Create mechanical designs, prototypes and build of complex structures and mechanisms.
• Perform simulations and modal/spectral analysis of mechanical designs.
• Ensure all designs meet internal and external maritime standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users, vendors, or test teams.
