Job summary

Sedgman Pty Limited in Perth is seeking an experienced Senior Materials Handling Engineer to join our team. You will work within an established materials handling group on a range of domestic and international projects through the project lifecycle.

We require a Mechanical Engineering degree and 7–10 years of relevant experience, with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities. The role offers varied projects, growth opportunities, and a collaborative safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in project design, commissioning and onsite operation environments.
• Experience with materials handling equipment (conveyors, crushing, screening, milling).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to innovative designs as part of an experienced materials handling team.
• Oversee feasibility studies, surveys, design layouts, BOQs and cost estimates; generate equipment specifications.
• Manage mechanical discipline budget and schedule across project lifecycles.
• Carry out site inspections and liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants and commissioning engineers.
• Provide engineering support to installation, construction and commissioning teams.
