Job summary

Sedgman Pty Limited in Brisbane seeks an Engineering/Design Manager to lead the design function across mineral processing projects and supporting site infrastructure, delivering studies, design, and project delivery globally.

You will supervise engineers and drafters, manage resource planning, coordinate with clients and sub-consultants, and ensure compliance with Sedgman’s Design Management Systems to drive safe, high-quality design outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Mineral Processing industry.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering design management role.
• Experience in leading and managing technical/project teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate the work of engineers and drafting staff allocated to the project.
• Programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the Design Engineering staff.
• Resource planning to meet design requirements for the project.
• Administer technical briefs for sub-consultant engagement.
• Prepare and control issue of the Project Design Management Plan.
• Coordinate design interfaces with Client’s other designers.
• Manage Engineers/ Designers to ensure document control across project.
• Coordinate responses to technical queries from contractors and project staff.
• Identify and report design non-conformances and costs.
