Job summary

Sedgman Pty Limited, a CIMIC Group subsidiary, seeks a Senior Engineering/Design Manager for Brisbane. You will coordinate the design function across minerals processing and supporting site infrastructure projects across Australia and beyond.

We value extensive experience in engineering/design management, leading technical teams, and delivering complex EPC/EPCM projects. The role offers a path for professional development in a global contractor environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering required.
10+ years of industry experience.
10+ years in engineering/design management with minerals processing background.
Experience leading technical/project teams.

Responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate the work of engineers and drafting staff to ensure competence and performance.
Report writing, managing engineering budgets and schedules.
Manage workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to design staff.
Coordinate resource planning to meet design requirements.
Administer briefs for sub-consultant engagement.
Prepare and control issue of the Project Design Management Plan.
Coordinate design interfaces with clients' other designers.
Manage engineers/designers to issue documents to project team, vendors and authorities.
Coordinate responses to technical queries from contractors and staff.
Investigate and report on design non-conformances and costs.
Ensure compliance with Sedgman design standards and NCRs.
