Job summary

Cochlear Limited in Brisbane seeks a Senior Manufacturing Support Engineer to join the Operations team. You will apply technical expertise to support manufacturing, drive improvements in yield, quality, and throughput within a regulated environment.

Work with engineering, quality and supply chain, mentor engineers and technicians, ensure QMS compliance, and contribute to safety, cost, and process optimization across manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering; background in manufacturing
• Experience in GMP or regulated environments preferred
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration required

Responsibilities

• Main technical contact for yield, quality, and throughput issues
• Analyze and resolve complex production problems and implement improvements
• Lead investigations into rejects and determine root causes
• Oversee NCRs and concessions; ensure compliance with QMS and regs
• Identify and implement safety, quality, and cost improvements across lines
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and junior team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and supplier relations
