Job summary

Hollard Insurance Australia is seeking a Senior Manager, Deliverable Assurance within its Enterprise Project Management Office to provide independent assurance of project deliverable quality across the strategic portfolio from concept through benefits realisation.

This role ensures that key deliverables meet predefined, evidence-based criteria before a project proceeds through a gate or funding is provided, supporting governance, CPS 230 prudential standards and APRA-aligned processes in a

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project/program management, PMO or EPMO roles with QA/gate review.
• Ability to critique governance docs for completeness, consistency and regulatory alignment.
• Strong stakeholder management, able to challenge senior leads under deadlines.
• Experience applying formal project quality or gate methodologies is required.
• Experience in APRA-regulated financial services (insurance/banking) with CPS 230 exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a Deliverables Quality Framework and Criteria Matrix for QA, with risk assessment and governance alignment.
• Ensure quality criteria stay current with evolving APRA prudential standards.
• Independently review key deliverables at Stage-Gates against defined criteria.
• Identify discrepancies between related deliverables.
• Escalate non-conforming deliverables with rationale and remediation suggestions.
• Engage with Project Directors/Managers, Sponsors and Business Owners to uplift quality without taking delivery ownership.

Your Role

As Senior Manager, Deliverable Assurance is accountable for the independent assurance of project deliverable quality, across Hollard's strategic project portfolio, from Concept through to Benefits Realisation/BAU.

This role ensures that key deliverables meet pre-defined, evidence-based quality criteria before a project is permitted to progress through a gate or receive funding — providing the EPMO, Sponsors and the Board with confidence that gate and funding decisions are being made on complete, consistent and quality information

Your Team

The Enterprise Project Management Offices (EPMO) reports through to the Chief Growth and Transformation Office and is responsible for governance across Hollard’s Strategic Portfolio of Projects and Initiatives. The team work collaboratively across the organisation to support the capability and maturity uplift of project delivery through effective fit for purpose governance, insights, improvements and training

Your duties and responsibilities

• Design and build a Deliverables Quality Framework and Criteria Matrix for Quality Assurance, including assessment of quality risk, assurance triggers, reporting, accountability of actions and ownership in line with PMI, and Cooper's Stage-Gate principles
• Ensure quality criteria remain current against evolving APRA prudential requirements and internal governance standards
• Independently review key project deliverables at Stage-Gates against pre-defined, documented quality criteria
• Identify discrepancies between related deliverables
• Escalate deliverables that do not meet quality thresholds to the Head of EPMO and relevant Sponsor, with clear rationale and recommended remediation
• Engage constructively but independently with Project Directors/Managers, Project Sponsors and Business Owners to uplift deliverable quality without assuming delivery responsibility

About You

• Significant experience in project/program management, PMO or EPMO roles, including demonstrated experience in quality assurance, gate review, or independent project assurance (not solely delivery or status reporting)
• Proven ability to review and critique complex governance documentation (risk assessments, business cases) for completeness, consistency and regulatory alignment
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience constructively challenging senior program leads and sponsors on deliverable quality under deadline pressure
• Demonstrated experience applying formal project quality or gate methodologies is required
• Experience operating within an APRA-regulated financial services entity (insurance, banking or superannuation), with practical exposure to prudential standards such as CPS 230 is essential
