Job summary

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking a Manager - Communications and Engagement to lead communications, marketing, digital engagement and customer service. The role informs the CEO and Executive on high-profile issues and shapes the Council's voice to strengthen community trust.

You will lead a diverse portfolio, drive strategies, and champion customer experience while partnering with senior leaders to deliver community-centred outcomes in regional Victoria.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in communications, marketing, customer experience, engagement or public affairs.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a complex organisation.
• Strong strategic capability delivering branding and marketing initiatives with measurable results.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Experience advising senior executives, boards, elected representatives or governing bodies.
• Well-developed political awareness for sensitive, high-profile matters.
• Passion for customer experience and continuous improvement.
• Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, PR or related discipline.
