Job summary

Fraser Coast Regional Council in Maryborough, QLD, seeks a Senior Manager Works Operations (Civil Infrastructure) to lead capital delivery, programmed maintenance and contract governance. You will advise the Executive Manager Infrastructure Operations and ensure time, cost, quality, safety and environmental targets are met.

You will manage budgets, develop programs, lead constructability reviews and develop staff capabilities while driving safe, sustainable outcomes for the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (AQF7+).
• Strong leadership experience delivering complex civil infrastructure programs.
• Skilled in contract administration, tendering and managing service providers.
• Proven financial management capability and strategic advisory skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and people leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capital works and programmed maintenance delivery with contract administration duties.
• Provide engineering, commercial and contract advice across Council.
• Implement quality, contract and delivery frameworks for consistent outcomes.
• Lead strategic and operational planning including program development.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, reporting and financial performance.
• Develop staff capability, performance and wellbeing.
