You will work closely with the Manager Corporate and Financial Services to deliver management accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting with strong governance processes.

The role involves coordinating budgets, rolling forecasts, long-term financial planning and providing insights for operational decisions.

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, finance or a closely related discipline is essential.
• Current CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand membership, or demonstrated progress toward a recognised professional accounting qualification, is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and local government financial reporting obligations is required.

Aufgaben

• Oversee and participate in the provision of accounting transactions and financial services within legislative and Council timeframes.
• Provide direct, high-level support to the Manager Corporate and Financial Services in delivering management accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and governance functions.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger, asset accounting information, and assist with annual financial statements, statutory returns and audit readiness.
