Job summary

Orange City Council is seeking an analytical, solutions-focused Management Accountant to join our finance team. You’ll provide technical accounting advice to leaders, improve systems, and analyse financial data.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will support budgets across the Council, produce monthly management reports with detailed analysis, and liaise with staff on budget reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Accounting, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience with accounting packages.
• Ability to analyse and report on financial data.
• Current Class C Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Senior Management Accountant in timely production of budgets and fees & charges.
• Advising, training and liaising with staff in preparation of budget reviews and project reviews.
• Completing comprehensive monthly management reporting processes with detailed analysis and advice.
