Job summary

Westgold Resources invites applications for a Permanent, full-time Maintenance Planner role at the Beta Hunt site in Kambalda, WA. You will plan and coordinate maintenance for mining equipment and infrastructure, work with senior planners, and manage schedules, parts, and costs to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical maintenance in underground mining, 2+ years in a maintenance planning role, and a valid WA driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' mechanical maintenance experience in underground mining.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Maintenance Planner role or similar
• Valid trade qualifications, certificates and licences
• Current “C” Class Manual Western Australian driver’s licence
• Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Pronto (desired)

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the maintenance of all Beta Hunt’s mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop maintenance strategies, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance of all mobile and fixed plant equipment.
• Work with the Senior Maintenance Planners to safely, efficiently and cost effectively maintain all assets.
• Organise schedules/work orders for the entire maintenance team including mobile maintenance, fixed plant, and electrical assets.
• Arrange parts and labour for future works, contractor labour and offsite repairs to minimize disruption to mining operations.
• Analyse risk of equipment failure, measure performance, and keep maintenance costs low.

THE ROLE

• Plan and coordinate the maintenance of all Beta Hunt’s mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop maintenance strategies, as well as scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the maintenance of all mobile and fixed plant equipment
• Working with the Senior Maintenance Planners to safely, efficiently and cost effectively maintain all assets
• Organise schedules/work orders for the entire maintenance team inclusive of mobile maintenance, fixed plant, and electrical assets
• Organise parts and labour needed in a timely manner for future works, contractor labour and offsite repairs to minimize disruption to the mining operations
• Analyse the risk of equipment failure, undertake performance measurement and ensure that maintenance costs are kept as low as possible

WHAT DO I NEED

• Current “C” Class Manual Western Australian driver’s licence
• Valid and relevant trade qualifications, certificates, and licences
• Minimum 5 years’ mechanical maintenance experience in an underground mining environment
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Maintenance Planner role or similar role
• Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Pronto (desired)
• Proficient computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite
• Strong experience with controlling maintenance costs and expenses
• A can-do, team-oriented attitude
• Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
• Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
