Job summary

Mantel Group, Australia’s AI-first technology consultancy, is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to deliver high-quality AI solutions for clients. You will design AI architecture, implement ML pipelines, and collaborate across advisory and delivery teams.

You will also contribute to pre-sales activities, develop production-grade ML solutions, and help advance Mantel’s AI gateway and thought leadership in a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial AI development experience across industries.
• Production ML with repeatable MLOps/LLM Ops.
• Consulting experience with external clients or internal teams.
• Fundamental software engineering: CI/CD, TDD, monitoring/logging.
• Strong programming in Python.
• Cloud engineering to architect and deploy cloud services.
• Experience with ML frameworks (Sagemaker, Vertex AI, Azure AI, etc.).
• Demonstrates Mantel principles and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• AI solution design and recommendation on approach.
• Developing AI solutions from pilots to enterprise applications.
• Applying MLOps/LLM Ops best practices for reusable pipelines.
• Standing up cloud services to run AI workloads.
• Technical advisory to clients and internal initiatives.
• Supporting pre-sales activities including solution design and proposals.
• Contributing to Mantel thought leadership (blogs, brown-bags, whitepapers).
• Demonstrating ownership and respectful collaboration.
