Job summary

Mantel, an Australian-owned IT Professional Services consultancy, is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to drive high-quality data science outcomes for clients. You will shape technical strategy, lead complex implementations, and mentor teams across AI/ML initiatives.

You will oversee issue resolution, act as a senior technical advisor, and influence project direction while aligning AI efforts with client goals and Mantel's market position.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing AI model development and deployment across production environments.
• Guiding teams and clients on multiple cloud solutions for scalable deployments.
• Translating complex technical ideas into business value and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee identification and resolution of systemic issues across projects and implement high-impact solutions.
• Act as deep SME and independent technical advisor influencing strategic direction.
• Support AI solution design including architectural aspects for complex projects.
• Lead internal initiatives and drive best-practice adoption within the AI & MLE capability.
• Mentor team members and share Mantel's AI thought leadership internally and externally.
• Display Mantel principles and maintain professional judgment in decisions.
