Job summary

Pinaka Technology Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior M365/Cloud Specialist Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimise the Microsoft 365 environment across multiple Australian states. The role requires the ability to obtain Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance and to operate in a hybrid setup.

Tasks include troubleshooting complex 365 issues, implementing security and governance controls, and developing automation with PowerShell.

• Capacity management level 4 responsibilities and capacity planning.
• IT Infrastructure level 4 responsibilities and maintenance routines.
• Problem management level 4 responsibilities and preventative measures.
• Programming/software development level 3 responsibilities and scripting.
• Systems design level 5 responsibilities and risk assessment.
• Systems installation and removal level 5 responsibilities and leadership for projects.

Responsibilities

• Administering, supporting and optimising the Microsoft 365 environment (Teams, SharePoint, Purview, Copilot).
• Troubleshooting complex SharePoint and 365 issues; provide practical solutions to stakeholders.
• Support configuration and validation of Microsoft 365 services to meet security and governance needs.
• Monitor platform performance, availability and change notifications; assess impact and actions.
• Implement and maintain 365 security, compliance and Purview governance controls; include DLP and auditing.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for M365 administration.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and business staff.
• Support delivery of new Microsoft 365 capabilities and BAU transition.
• Monitor 365 Message Centre for upcoming changes and impact.
• Identify service improvements to enhance reliability and security.
• Perform incident, problem, change, release, and knowledge management.
• Share knowledge and assist capability uplift within the team.
• Liaise with vendors and ICT teams to support service delivery.
