Anglo American Australia Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah, QLD seeks a Senior Longwall Superintendent. You will safely lead the longwall operation, coordinating crews, equipment and priorities to deliver consistent production while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

This permanent role reports to the Operations Manager, with accountability for safety leadership, production performance, and collaboration across maintenance, engineering and technical services teams.

Qualifications

• Experienced underground coal mining leader with longwall production knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead large operational teams in a high-risk environment.
• Strong leadership style with a practical, visible approach.

Responsabilités

• Provide visible safety leadership across all longwall activities.
• Lead longwall production teams to achieve safety, production and operational objectives.
• Coordinate daily and weekly priorities across production, maintenance and technical functions.
• Monitor longwall performance and respond to changing conditions, risks and production constraints.
• Ensure operations comply with legislation, site standards and the Safety and Health Management System.
• Lead the application and review of operational controls, risk assessments and TARPs.
• Support longwall planning, panel readiness and safe production activities.
• Review production performance, equipment availability and shift reporting.
• Work with Underground Mine Manager and cross-functional teams.
• Coach and develop leadership capability and drive continuous improvement.
