Anglo American Australia’s Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the finance function on site. Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive financial performance, governance and strategic decision-making across the operation.

You will partner with operations to optimise cost, plan and forecast, manage capital governance, and build a high‑performing team. The role offers a permanent full‑time position with relocation assistance, housing, a 12% superannuation

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Accounting or Economics (CA/CPA highly regarded).
• Proven financial leadership in capital-intensive environments with cost and value driver understanding.
• Experience in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis; translate data into insights for senior leaders.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, governance and internal controls.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders including JV partners and external partners.
• Experience leading teams and building capability in a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic commercial leadership influencing operational and financial outcomes across the site.
• Partner with operations to optimise performance, cost discipline and value delivery aligned to production strategy.
• Own the site’s financial performance, ensuring governance, reporting and compliance.
• Lead planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles with forward-looking insights.
• Drive data-led performance analysis, identify risks, opportunities and actionable improvements.
• Lead capital governance and prioritisation with disciplined investment decisions across the lifecycle.
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement and commercial thinking across site leadership.
• Build and maintain relationships with Joint Venture partners and external stakeholders.
• Lead, coach and uplift capability within a high-performing finance team.
